Why I’m an LGBTQIA+ ally and a proportion of my profits go to Mermaids UK
My son, Leo is transgender. He came out to us age 11 and after a seriously challenging, heart wrenching and difficult time, we as a family all came out the other end in (more or less) one piece. I couldn’t be prouder of him, the courage he’s shown in being himself and speaking out on behalf of other trans and LGBTQIA+ people. We couldn’t have managed through this difficult time without the support of Mermaids, and families and friends. You can read a bit more about this here if you’re interested.
One of the reasons I decided to go it alone and start consulting was also because Leo and I have started writing a book about our experiences. We’re going to call it ‘Between’. Let me know if you’d like to know more!
